Rib Lacing the
Elevator
With the elevator Poly Brushed, I
laid down the reinforcing tape and
brought it into the house. My
excuse was I needed to watch the
DVD as I learned to do the stitching.
I had to run to Home Depot cuz I
couldn't find my chalk line and then
asked Wendy to help snapping
lines.
Interestingly enough, The chalk got
all over the carpet. I told Wendy not
to worry...but when we tried to
vacuum it up...it didn't...OOPS! It was
at this point I read the chalk bottle.
Come to find out that black is a
permanent marker...Great! Looks
like the MEK is coming out to clean
off the elevator. Yes, we got the
carpet cleaned up with Oxy Clean.
Finishing up pre-punching the holes.
After this I started to lace and found
that the lace that I was sent from
Spruce was the wrong stuff...not waxed
and too thin. I ordered it again and I
am dead in the water for a few days.
