Cutting in the
Panel
Ok...let's do this. Spread all the
stuff out on the floor and get
templates cut out of paper down to
the 32nd of an inch.
About right...think I'll add a third
2-1/4" round gauge though. The
center stack will have a Garmin
296 at the top (held by
AirGizmo). Directly below that will
be the Garmin SL40. One hole
for both of them.
Got the first hole cut and had to try
it out in the plane. It sure starts to
bring things to life a bit.
The carbon fiber was cut with a
diamond wheel in the Dremel. It
worked good. Got it close then
shaved it down with a trim bit.
