Prime Time To Prime
Several of the aluminum parts were primed with the epoxy primer. Can you identify any of the hanging
parts? The flapperons are laying on the table still wrapped in the nasty plastic coating. I tried using a
paint stripper (as suggested) on it but it wasn't caustic enough. I need to go back to Homer and buy the
paste stripper.
Below you can see the Grove Gear in the primed state. I'm glad the
painting is almost to a close...my painting booth is falling apart with the
extreme heat outside. The AC does a good job of keeping it 20 degrees
cooler than outside, but it was 117 degrees yesterday. This allows the
duct tape to just melt apart
