Vertical Stab
Well, I changed my mind on the
profile of the beacon. I came
across these tear-drop units that
are a little lower profile and better
in the aerodynamics arena. I had to
modify the guts a bit to accept my
strobe...but it will work great. I
epoxied it to keep it in place.
This shows the lens that comes with
it.
This is a plate I made that will be
Super-Fill Epoxied onto the top of
the vertical stab. You can see the
nut plates I epoxied on to it that will
allow me to remove the base of the
unit with a few screws.
